Hollyberry Handcrafts is a small sewing and crochet business whose brand
I helped design. I first started with the logo creation process. This client
wanted to capture the creativity and charm of a crocheter or sewer,
but still wanted the final product to be
clean and professional.

I incorporated a crochet hook, sewing needle, yarn ball, and thread to
appeal to the creative interest of the client. I chose to hand-draw the
word Handcrafts in the center. To offset the more creative approach to this element, I fed the two tails of the word into a strong, bold circle, periodically broken up to add more movement and dimension to the piece.

Once my client approved the primary logo, I was able to quickly create a secondary logo in a wordmark format, and move on to color palette. This client is based in the United States and wanted a color palette that would communicate this to consumers, but embody a brand that is classic yet fun.

After logo creation, color selections, and the typography were established, I moved on to creating a business card. Again, the client requested a simple, clean, and timeless look that would communicate what the business
does in as few words as possible. The light blue shade was selected as an accent to the
two primary colors within the palette. Mockups of both the business cards and possible store fronts were created for the client as well.

Finally, I created two patterns for use in packaging and select marketing.
These patterns were inspired by motifs within the primary logo.
